Day 8 Mount Lemmon

We took a ride up Mount Lemmon. It's the one thing I would recommend as a "Must Do". The drive up is 24 miles of spectacular scenery with many places to stop along the way and check out the views. There was snow the last four miles of the drive and there was even a ski slope on the north side of the mountain. It's weird to think of snow only 60 miles from the Mexican border. It took us over two hours to complete the drive and on the way back we stopped at the La Encantada Mall and had very pleasant late lunch at he Bluepoint Kitchen. There's a half dozen nice places up there worth trying. We got back to Green Valley by seven, but not before stopping for happy hour at the Arizona Family Restaurant. Dinner was not a requirement.
